In this exhibition he focused on concept made available by technology, rather than on technology itself.
De Lange took a very different approach in his work “sky scraper”. Imagine a designer sitting at his desk scribbling notes on a piece of paper. Getting nowhere fast, he crushes one of the sheets into a ball and tosses it into the waste paper basket; as it flies through the air, it miraculously endures a conceptual metamorphosis. The crumples paper ball is scanned and becomes a three-dimensional file, allowing the designer to manipulate the scale as he fancies :to recreate the form as a table object, or to develop it to a much larger degree, perhaps as an architectural object.
