“My works are fragile but also strong; delicate, but not necessarily weak. They have a kind of fragility that is associated with technique and materiality. I use materials characterized by a kind of weakness when used alone, but when combined they create a subtlety of movement. The materials carry the imprint of time. All of the materials have a sort of brittleness. The objects require a human regard, if they are treated nicely, they age with dignity.”
