Un.cover.light

Periscope Contemporary Design Gallery, Tel Aviv, Israel | 2006

I make a three dimensional sketch of a light fixture. An object which spreads light gives a quick catharsis and gives me the feeling of being productive. Quick luminance objects help me break the ice.

Sometimes, just as in a quick sketch, it takes only a few minutes for an idea to turn into a working object. As time passes, those objects influence one another, and their environment, to create a new territory.

During the years I have collected in my studio hundreds of “things” which are raw materials in the working process.

The materials stored in the studio were drawn from the hectic environment that is part of the working process. New crossbreeding were created in the immediate language driven from the material.

The material driven composition which is the compilation of the various fragments is, sometimes, more important than the intensity of the light itself.
