Science Park Nitzana

In 2000 an open park competition was held for the design of a solar science park at Nitzana, in the northern Negev desert in Israel, over an area of 20,000 square meters. The studio won the competition. The design of the park, undertaken by the studio, included writing the program, environmental design combined work with landscape architect Dan Tzur, design of the buildings (around 1000 square meters), landscape development, and design of the science exhibits. The interactive solar park is designed for educational purposes, to instill values of environmental conservation and to serve as a drawing point for visitors to the Negev region, where they can actively learn about solar energy and desert horticulture.
